Why it exists

Hisab is a financial wellness app for people living in the UAE. It puts all of someone's debts in one place, shows them their debt-free date and points out which payment to make first. You don't need an account to use it, and your data stays on your phone.

A lot of people in the UAE are paying off credit cards, loans, buy-now-pay-later plans and money borrowed from friends, all at the same time. Many of them are doing it in their second language, with letters from the bank they find hard to follow, and with nobody neutral to ask for help.

What people can do with it

  1. 01

    Know which payment comes first

Every card, loan, BNPL plan and personal debt sits in one list with a single debt-free date. Hisab puts legal notices first, then anything overdue, then the highest interest rate.

  2. 02

    Go to the bank prepared

When someone needs a payment break or a settlement, Hisab writes the request for them so they can send it straight to the bank.

  3. 03

    Understand their own paperwork

People can upload a bank statement to see where their money went, or an AECB credit report to see what is really in it, and they get a clear plan back.

  4. 04

    Stop missing payment dates

Reminders come with proof of payment, and they tick themselves off when a new statement shows the payment went through.

  5. 05

Talk to people in the same situation

Circle is a community inside the app where people support each other under a nickname, without ever showing their finances.

  6. 06

    Keep everything private

There is no sign-up and no bank login. Everything is stored on the phone, and one tap deletes it all.

How AI is used

The AI coach

The coach builds a priority list, a cash-flow forecast and a comparison of payoff options, and it can draft emails to banks. The person stays in control of everything it produces.

Sawt, the Arabic voice companion

Sawt lets people talk to Hisab out loud. It understands and replies in their own Arabic dialect, keeps the same accent for the whole conversation, and can read a bank statement back to them. If a summary leaves something out, Sawt can go back into the document to find it.

Privacy built into the AI

The AI only ever sees anonymised information for the task at hand. That is true for both text and voice.
